This event was captured in Venezuela’s papers as shown. The winning software had four parts targeted for young individuals. The first part used monochrome hi-res animations to teach about different sports (inspired by 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics). The second part played popular and classic melodies through the EPSON QX-10 speaker using single tones. The third part was about video games, a handful of games inspired by Pac-Man, Battleship, Tic-Tac-Toe and some originals like a real time strategy named War Games. Fourth part included tools to help kids do their homework, from Area and Volume calculations, to detailed graphics of the Digestive, Circulatory and Respiratory systems.
EPSON then “adopted” the brothers and helped them move from the BASIC language to Pascal.
